Did SA-11 Buk Missile Bring Down Flight MH17?

July 21 (Bloomberg) –- Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was likely shot down by a surface-to-air missile system known as the SA-11, or Buk, according to U.S. military and intelligence agencies. The radar-guided weapon was developed in the 1970s and can down targets as high as 72,000 feet, well above the altitude of Flight MH17. The Ukrainian government has blamed pro-Russian separatists, who deny responsibility. (Source: Bloomberg)
