SpaceX's Musk Pushes for U.S. Satellite Launches

March 5 (Bloomberg) -- Elon Musk, chief executive officer of Space Exploration Technologies Corp., and Tesla Motors Inc., testifies before the U.S. Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Defense about a push by SpaceX into the Pentagon's satellite-launch market. Cristina Chaplain, the director of acquisition and sourcing management at the Government Accountability Office, Michael Gass, chief executive officer of the United Launch Alliance LLC, and Scott Pace, director of the Space Policy Institute at George Washington University, also testify about competition and cost savings in national security space launches.
