Aug. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Chris Rupkey, chief financial economist at Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, discusses the rise in U.S. durable goods orders and the shortcomings of the data as an economic indicator. Bookings for non-military capital equipment excluding planes slumped 3.4 percent, the most in eight months, a Commerce Department report showed today in Washington. (Source: Bloomberg)
