Sept. 17 (Bloomberg) -- White House Press Secretary Jay Carney talks about Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's scheduled visit to the White House on Sept. 30, implementation of the Affordable Care Act and President Barack Obama's timetable for selecting a nominee to replace Ben S. Bernanke as Federal Reserve chairman. Carney, speaking at the daily White House news conference, also discusses yesterday's shooting at the Naval Sea Systems Command headquarters in Washington, Brazilian President Dilma Rouseff's decision to postpone her country's state visit to Washington and federal budget negotiations.
