Renesas to Sell $1.8 Billion Shares to Fund

Renesas Electronics Corp., the ailing Japanese chipmaker, will sell at least 150 billion yen ($1.8 billion) of new shares to a government-backed fund and customers such as Toyota Motor Corp. as part of a bailout plan.
