AMR-US Airways Need Merger to Survive, Niedl Says

Aug. 13 (Bloomberg) -- Ray Niedl, an aviation consultant at Nexa Capital, and Bloomberg's George Ferguson talk about the U.S. government's opposition to American Airlines' merger with US Airways Group Inc. The proposed tie-up would lead to less competition in the industry and higher prices for consumers, according to a complaint filed today in Washington federal court.
