March 5 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Sara Eisen reports that Hess Corp. Chairman and Chief Executive Officer John Hess said his plans to focus on oil exploration and production are not a response to criticism from activist shareholder Paul Singer’s Elliott Management Corp.
