Newsom Says Same-Sex Marriage Is Generational Issue

March 25 (Bloomberg) -- California Lieutenant Governor Gavin Newsom, Andrew Pugno, an attorney who wrote California's Proposition 8 initiative that halted same-sex marriage in the state, and Sam Thoron, former president of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays, talk about the debate over gay marriage. The U.S. Supreme Court will consider the issue for the first time this week, accepting appeals on Proposition 8 and a federal law defining marriage as solely an opposite-sex union.
