Bernanke Warns on Fiscal Cliff, Defends on Libor

July 17 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg Peter Cook reports that Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke told lawmakers that the central bank is ready to take further action to boost the recovery, while refraining from pledging any new policies. Bernanke also warned of the dangers of the coming fiscal cliff and defended the Federal Reserve's actions on Libor. He speaks on Bloomberg Television's "Lunch Money."
