Bernanke: Premature Rate Rise Would `Kill' Recovery

Feb. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said raising the central bank’s benchmark interest rate prematurely would snuff out the economic recovery. He spoke before the House Financial Services Committee in Washington today in response to a comment suggesting that very low interest rates are hurting savers. (Source: Bloomberg)
