May 24 (Bloomberg) -- Greg Evans, chief economist at the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, talks about the impact of the strong Australian dollar on the nation's manufacturing industry. Ford, in Australia since 1925, said yesterday it will close its local manufacturing plants in October 2016, resulting in 1,200 job losses.
