U.S. Payrolls Gain 157,000 Jobless Rate to 7.9%

Feb. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Bloomberg's Peter Cook reports that hiring increased in January after accelerating more than previously estimated at the end of 2012. Payrolls rose 157,000 and the jobless rate increased to 7.9 percent from 7.8 percent. He speaks on Bloomberg Television's "In The Loop."
