July 11 (Bloomberg) -- David Stevens, chief executive officer of the Mortgage Bankers Association, talks about the potential impact of the Dodd-Frank Act and the so-called qualified mortgage rule on credit availability. At a House Financial Services subcommittee hearing held today lawmakers discussed the regulation, which the U.S. Consumer Financial Bureau must issue by January 21, 2013.
