Brazil Fast-Tracks Beginner Skiers for Sochi Bid

Dec. 5 (Bloomberg) -- On a recent training day at a dry-slope ski park outside Brazil's biggest city, Sao Paulo, Lais da Silva Souza clips on ski boots and skis before sliding to her starting position on a freshly hosed-down ramp at the Alpine-themed Ski Mountain Park. The two-time Olympian in gymnastics is vying for a spot at the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. Bloomberg's Tariq Panja caught up with the athlete and her coach, Ryan Snow, on Nov. 12. (Source: Bloomberg)
