Bernanke Says Fed Policy Isn’t on a ‘Preset Course’

July 17 (Bloomberg) -- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke said the central bank’s asset purchases “are by no means on a preset course.” The purchases could be reduced more quickly or expanded as economic conditions warrant, Bernanke said today in a prepared testimony before the House Financial Services Committee.
