Democratic Senators Discuss Jobless Benefits Vote

Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Democratic Senators Charles Schumer of New York, Jack Reed of Rhode Island, Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire, Sherrod Brown of Ohio and Jeff Merkley of Oregon speak at a news conference in Washington about a Senate vote to advance legislation extending unemployment benefits for the long-term jobless. The vote was 60-37, with 60 needed, to move forward a measure to extend for three months the emergency jobless benefits that expired on Dec. 28 for 1.3 million Americans. (Source: Bloomberg)
