PetroChina and Encana Announce $1.2B Joint Venture

PetroChina Co. agreed to form a joint venture with Encana Corp., Canada’s largest natural gas producer, paying $1.18 billion ($1.2 billion) for a 49.9 percent stake in the company’s holdings in Alberta’s Duvernay formation.
