May 8 (Bloomberg) -- Republican Mark Sanford speaks to supporters after winning a special election last night in South Carolina that will return him to the U.S. House. Sanford’s defeat of Democrat Elizabeth Colbert Busch, an older sister of comedian Stephen Colbert, capped a bid for personal and political redemption four years after an extramarital affair tarnished his image while he served as the state's governor.
