Sanders, Miller Discuss Expanded Veterans Care Deal

July 28 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. Senator Bernard Sanders, an independent from Vermont, and Representative Jeff Miller, a Republican from Florida, talk about the bipartisan agreement to help ease U.S. military veterans' long waits for health care. The $17 billion deal expands the type of non-VA hospitals and clinics where veterans could receive care, authorizes leases for 27 new VA facilities, and allows the Department of Veterans Affairs secretary to fire senior executives.
