NIH Effort Seeks New Use for Failed Drugs: Collins

April 11 (Bloomberg) -- Francis Collins, director of the National Institutes of Health, talks about an effort to find new uses for drugs that have failed in clinical trials. Speaking at a breakfast sponsored by Bloomberg Government in Washington, Collins said the research may offer hope for Alzheimer's patients. In a follow-up e-mail, Collins said the finding is "very preliminary." (Source: Bloomberg)
