Oct. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Alex Atala, owner and head chef at Sao Paulo's two-Michelin starred restaurant D.O.M., is known as a trailblazer for foraging for Brazil's unique local ingredients and his redefinition of the country's cuisine. Atala, author of "D.O.M. Rediscovering Brazilian Ingredients," is in New York this week to cook a private dinner at the Food Network New York City Wine & Food Festival.
