Fed Chairman Ben S. Bernanke Full News Conference

March 20 (Bloomberg) –- Federal Reserve Chairman Ben S. Bernanke speaks about the U.S. economy, monetary policy, bank regulation and the financial crisis in Cyprus. Bernanke speaks at a news conference in Washington after a two-day meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee. Fed policymakers said they will keep up the central bank's bond buying at a pace of $85 billion a month even as the world’s largest economy and the job market pick up. They also left unchanged the Fed's statement that it plans to hold its target interest rate near zero as long as unemployment remains above 6.5 percent and inflation is projected to be no more than 2.5 percent.
