Atlanta Storm Strands Motorists on Icy Roads

Jan. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Thousands of Atlanta-area residents were stranded in cars on highways around the city after a snow and ice storm crippled the ninth-largest U.S. metropolitan area yesterday and much of the nation’s Southeast region. The National Basketball Association postponed tonight’s game in Atlanta between the Hawks and the Detroit Pistons due to weather and road conditions. (Source: Bloomberg)
