Tilghman `Thrilled' Princeton Is Offering Coursera

Sept. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Shirley Tilghman, president of Princeton University, talks about the school offering classes through Coursera, which puts university classes online with the aim of educating millions of people globally for free. Tilghman said on Sept. 22 she would retire at the end of the academic year in June 2013. She spoke Sept. 12 in an interview at Bloomberg headquarters in New York. (This is an excerpt.
