Farrell on Dominican Republic Baseball Academies

Oct. 11 (Bloomberg) -- Charles Farrell, a sports and education activist and co-founder of the Dominican Republic Sports & Education Academy, talks about efforts to improve conditions at baseball academies in the Dominican Republic. About 37 percent of the suspensions on the Major League Baseball list, or 160, have come out of the Dominican Summer League, where all 30 major-league organizations field at least one team in a country where baseball is viewed a one of few remedies for poverty.
