Carrefour Profit Declines on Weak Demand in Europe

Carrefour SA , the world’s second-largest retailer, reported an 8.2 percent decline in first-half profit, beating analysts’ estimates, as sales in Latin America helped compensate for wilting demand in Europe, notably Spain.
