Brean’s Tchir Sees One More Big Drop in Yields (Audio)
Peter Tchir, head of macro strategies at Brean Capital sees a potential short squeeze for the U.S. government bond market. He’s forecasting the long bond yield dips to 3.10% and the 10-year-yield dips to 2.20%, driven by slow growth and a lack of consumer spending. Tchir also talks about dark pools and high-frequency trading. He says the publicity following the release of Michael Lewis’s book, “Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt”, may have caused some firms to close down their high-frequency programs, lowering volume. Tchir speaks with Bloomberg’s Kathleen Hays and Vonnie Quinn on Bloomberg Radio’s "The Hays Advantage."
