U.K. 3rd-Quarter Low-Carbon Energy Provided Record 37% of Power
U.K. low-carbon generating sources including nuclear power and renewables provided a record 37.1 percent of the country’s power in the third quarter, up from 33.9 percent in the same period a year ago, the Department of Energy and Climate Change said today in a statement on its website.
Renewables including wind, solar and hydro increased their share of power generation to 13.2 percent from 11.7 percent a year earlier, according to the department.
