‘Man of Steel’ Generates $9 Million in Midnight Ticket Sales
“Man of Steel,” Time Warner Inc.’s reboot of the Superman movie franchise, took in $9 million in midnight screenings, Hollywood.com-Box Office said.
With $12 million in corporate group-rate showings yesterday, the film’s U.S. and Canadian ticket sales total $21 million, Paul Dergarabedian, president of Hollywood.com’s box-office research division, said in an e-mailed statement, citing the Warner Bros. film unit.
