Japan Signs Deal to Offset Emissions With Technology for Kenya
Japan agreed to offset greenhouse gas emissions by transferring energy-management technology to Kenya, after deals with Mongolia, Bangladesh and Ethiopia this year, the Ministry of the Environment said in a statement.
Under such bilateral offsets Japan also uses the country’s technology to protect forests in developing countries.
