Laine Re-Elected Chairman of French Sugar-Beet Growers Group CGB

Eric Laine was re-elected chairman of French sugar-beet growers’ federation Confederation Generale des Planteurs de Betteraves by the group’s board on Feb. 1.
Laine, who is a farmer in Saint-Memmie, a municipality outside the city of Chalons-en-Champagne east of Paris, has been the CGB’s chairman since December 2007, the group wrote in an e- mailed statement today.
France is the European Union’s largest sugar-beet grower.
