By Mason Levinson - Jan 2, 2013

Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis told his teammates he’ll retire after the postseason.

The former National Football League defensive player of the year said today that “this will be my last ride,” according to comments posted by the team on Twitter and on NFL.com.

Lewis has been out since mid-October with a torn triceps. The Ravens are scheduled to play the Indianapolis Colts in the first round of the playoffs this weekend
