U.K. Conservatives Lost Votes in 2012, Independent Says
The U.K. Conservative Party lost a fifth of its supporters last year, The Independent newspaper reported, citing its own survey of polls.
According to a weighted average of polls last month, support for the Conservatives fell 7 percentage points, to 32 percent, from the year ago period, while the Labour party gained 3 percentage points to 41 percent, the paper said.
