South Africa Richards Bay Coal Decreases Most in Five Months
Coal export prices at South Africa’s Richards Bay, the continent’s biggest terminal for shipping the fuel, declined most in five months.
Coal for immediate delivery dropped $3.11, or 3.5 percent, to $86.62 a metric ton in the week to Dec. 14, the biggest drop since July 13, according to IHS McCloskey data on Bloomberg.
The fuel is quoted on a free-on-board basis, which excludes delivery costs.
