China Plans to Invest $6 Billion in Water Projects, Journal Says
The projects will cover a total area of 38 million mu (2.5 million hectares) as part of the nation’s efforts to add at least 150 million mu of high-efficiency water-saving projects in the years to 2020, the report said, citing an unidentified official from the Ministry of Water Resources.
The investment to promote water projects in northwestern and northern China may be even greater, the newspaper said.
