Microsoft Corp. (MSFT) won a court case in Lithuania to shut down a file-sharing website for copyright violations and get compensation from the site’s owner, Baltic News Service reported.
Vilnius Regional Court today fully satisfied the claim that Microsoft filed in 2009, ordering UAB N5 Grupe to close the site linkomanija.net and pay damages of 130,000 litai ($49,164), BNS said, citing the judge, Ona Gasiulyte.
The decision can be appealed, the newswire said.
