EU Said to Sell 5.5 Million EU Carbon Permits at 6.55 Euros

The European Union sold 5.5 million spot carbon permits for 2013 at 6.55 euros a metric ton in an auction on the European Energy Exchange AG, according to two people with knowledge of the sale.
