Canada Court Says CRTC Doesn’t Have Television Fee Power

Canada’s Supreme Court ruled the country’s broadcast regulator doesn’t have the authority to require cable and satellite companies to pay television networks for the right to carry their local signals.
The court made the ruling in a decision released today in Ottawa.
