Indian Sitarist Ravi Shankar Dies at 92, Manager Says

Ravi Shankar, the sitarist and composer described as the “godfather of world music” by Beatles guitarist George Harrison, has died. He was 92.
“It’s with a very heavy heart that I confirm this sad news,” his manager Earl Blackburn, said in an e-mail today.
