Suzlon Energy Wins 40 Megawatts of Wind-Turbine Orders in India
Suzlon Energy Ltd. (SUEL), India’s biggest wind-turbine maker, said it won two local orders for 40 megawatts of machines.
Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd. (GSFC) will buy 14 units of 2.1-megawatt turbines for a wind farm in Kutch in the western state of Gujarat, Suzlon said today in an e-mailed statement. Bharat Electronics Ltd. (BHE) has signed a contract for five units of the same S95 machines for a project in Davangere district in southern Karnataka state, Suzlon said.
Both projects will be completed by the end of the financial year on March 31, according to the statement.
