Cook Scores 168 as England Defies India in First Cricket Test

England captain Alastair Cook scored an unbeaten century as his team took the first cricket Test against India into a final day at Ahmedabad.
At stumps on the fourth day, England reached 340-5 in its follow-on, including 168 by Cook in his first Test since being appointed captain. Matt Prior is 84 not out in a stand of 141 runs with Cook.
Kevin Pietersen was bowled for 2, his second dismissal in the match to left-arm spinner Pragyan Ojha.
England, which resumed today at 111-0, has a lead of 10 runs after scoring 191 in its first innings. India made 521-8 declared, including 206 not out by Cheteshwar Pujara.
