Mouton 1945 Features With Latour at Christie’s Hong Kong
Christie’s International Plc (BID) holds Hong Kong wine sales this week with historic Bordeaux including first-growths Chateau Mouton-Rothschild 1945 and Chateau Latour 1961, as well as Chateau Cheval Blanc 1947 from Saint-Emilion.
A case of 1945 Mouton and a lot comprising a dozen bottles of Cheval Blanc 1947 each carry an estimate of as much as HK$1.6 million ($206,400) for the sale on Nov. 23, while six magnums of Latour 1961 are estimated at as much as HK$750,000, according to the Christie’s online catalog.
A Burgundy-focused sale by Christie’s in Hong Kong on Nov. 24 features Romanee-Conti Grand Cru cases from recent vintages, notably between 2004 and 2007, with 12 bottles of the 2005 wines estimated at as much as HK$1.4 million.
Zachy’s is also holding a wine sale in Hong Kong today, while Sotheby’s has an auction in New York.
