Protective Hires Unum’s Temple as Risk Chief, Reporting to CEO

Protective Life Corp., the Birmingham, Alabama-based insurer, named Michael Temple as chief risk officer, effective Dec. 3.

Temple, who previously was risk chief at insurer Unum Group (UNM), will report to Chief Executive Officer John D. Johns, Protective said today in a statement distributed by Business Wire.
