Embraer Considers Building Ships to Supply to Brazil’s Navy

Embraer SA, the world’s fourth- largest planemaker, is considering building ships to sell to the Brazilian navy.

The company is considering entering the shipyard business through its defense unit, a company press official, who can’t be identified under corporate policy, said in a telephone interview, confirming information published today in Rio de Janeiro-based newspaper O Globo.
