MetLife Discloses Second U.S. Investigative Demand in Loan Probe
MetLife Inc., the largest U.S. life insurer, disclosed a second U.S. Department of Justice civil investigative demand in a probe of origination or underwriting of mortgages insured by the Federal Housing Administration.
The latest demand at the bank unit was received in September, according to a regulatory filing today from the New York-based insurer, which previously reported receiving one in June.
