Areva to Appeal Exclusion From CEZ Tender, CEO Tells Hospodarske

Areva SA (AREVA) will contest its exclusion from CEZ AS (CEZ)’s tender for the construction of nuclear reactors with the Czech anti-monopoly office and European Union, Hospodarske Noviny reported, citing an interview with Chief Executive Officer Luc Oursel.

CEZ didn’t treat Areva on equal terms with the other two bidders, Westinghouse Electric Corp. and a Russian-Czech consortium led by Rosatom Corp.’s unit ZAO Atomstroyexport, Oursel said in an interview published today.
