Lithuania Opens Gas Power Unit to Help Replace Nuclear Power

Lietuvos Energija AB (LNR1L) started operating a 455-megawatt combined cycle gas turbine at the Lietuvos Elektrine power plant, the company said on a statement on its website today. Lithuania shut its Ignalina nuclear plant at the end of 2009.
