Spanish, Italian Bonds Rise; Spain 10-Year Yields Fall to 5.73%

Spanish and Italian government bonds advanced, pushing the yield on Spain’s 10-year security down three basis points to 5.73 percent at 8:19 a.m. London time.

The rate on similar-maturity Italian bonds fell two basis points to 5 percent, while the nation’s two-year yields also dropped two basis points to 2.24 percent.

Two-year Spanish yields declined two basis points, or 0.02 percentage point, to 3.20 percent.
