Liverpool Signs Defender Daniel Agger to New Long-Term Contract

Liverpool signed defender Daniel Agger to a new contract, the Premier League club said on its website.
Agger, 27 has appeared in 177 games since joining the Reds from Brondby in his native Denmark in January 2006. He’s scored nine goals.
“I want to be a a part of this club in the future,” Agger said on Liverpool’s website. “I feel I belong here and as long as the manager and the owners want me, I’ll be here.”
Liverpool didn’t disclose length of the agreement, only saying that it was “long term.”
