Philips Wins Order From Dutch Hospital Worth $78 Million

Royal Philips Electronics NV (PHIA) has won an order from Isala klinieken in the Netherlands worth more than 60 million euros ($78 million) to supply the Dutch hospital with its technology, including body scanners and patient- monitoring systems.

The contract, which is for an unlimited amount of time, also includes maintenance and training of hospital employees, Amsterdam-based Philips said in an e-mailed statement.

Philips and Isala, which has clinics in Zwolle in the eastern Netherlands, further plan to invest in joint research for diagnostics and treatment of cancer and heart and vascular diseases, the company said.
